editing and duplicating rules edit rule click the pencil icon on any existing rule to modify it all fields are editable the system checks that your edits do not create a rule with parameters that fully or partially overlap an existing rule if a conflict is detected, the save is rejected copy / duplicate rule click the copy icon to open a pre filled add rule panel with the selected rule’s settings you must assign a new name before saving use this when you want to create a variant of an existing rule for example, the same policy applied to a different asset or vault note the edit and copy buttons currently share the same “add rule” panel interface a ui update is planned to label them “edit rule” and “duplicate rule” respectively for clarity validation & error handling the policy engine enforces several validation rules to maintain consistency duplicate detection if a new or edited rule matches the parameters of an existing rule (same vault, action, creator, counterparty, asset, chain combination), the save is blocked with an error no matching policy if a transaction is initiated and no active rule matches all criteria, the transaction is automatically blocked mandatory approver logic if a mandatory approver is configured, the transaction will not proceed even if the minimum approval count is reached, until the mandatory approver has signed creator’s own signature the creator of a transaction is required to sign it as a baseline this is enforced at the validation layer and is separate from the policy’s minimum approval count
