# Deposit into the LP vault

> Fund a liquidity provider vault so you can trade.

Fund an LP vault from one of your vaults, a contact, an external address, or a bank account. A deposit uses the same quote flow as a trade: the LP vault is the `destination`, and `input` and `output` are the same asset, quoted 1:1 with no fee.

After you execute the quote, send the funds using the deposit instructions on the transaction. The deposit completes when the LP confirms them.

## From one of your vaults

Example: deposit 5,000 USDC from a treasury vault.

## From a contact

Only `source` changes:

## From an external address

## USD by wire from a bank account

USD moves only by wire, from an approved bank account. Wire the amount to the bank details in the deposit instructions.
