# Transactions

> Track transfers, on-chain operations, ramps, FX, and trades through the transaction lifecycle.

Transactions are the lifecycle record for transfers, contract calls, staking and delegation, ramps, FX, and trades.

All amounts are decimal strings. Create calls return a Transaction; its status is the lifecycle source of truth. A successful HTTP response does not imply that the transaction has completed.

Every create call returns a transaction in `PENDING` that waits for your approval before PrimeVault processes it. See [Approvals](/approvals/overview).

## Choose a transaction flow

| Goal | Flow |
| - | - |
| Send an asset from a known source to a known destination | [**Create Transfer**](/transactions/create-transfer) |
| Submit a contract call from a vault, such as EVM call data | [**Create Contract Call**](/transactions/create-contract-call) |
| Stake an asset for a chain resource, such as TRX for TRON energy | [**Stake Resource**](/transactions/stake-resource) |
| Delegate TRON energy or bandwidth to another party | [**Delegate Resource**](/transactions/delegate-resource) |
| Convert fiat to crypto (on-ramp) or crypto to fiat (off-ramp) | [**Ramps**](/transactions/ramps) |
| Convert one fiat currency to another, such as NGN to USD | [**FX**](/transactions/fx) |
| Buy or sell stablecoins against fiat with a liquidity provider | [**Trade**](/transactions/trade) |
