# Get Vault Balances

> Read a vault's balance per asset, including symbol, chain, token address, and optional USD value and price.

**GET** `/api/external/vaults/{vaultId}/detailed_balances/`

Balances show what the vault holds, one entry per asset. To get the details for funding a vault, see [Deposit Instructions](/accounts-and-wallets/vault-deposit-instructions).

## Path parameters

## Response

Returns a `DetailedBalanceResponse`, which is a list of `DetailedBalance` objects.
